Performed a comprehensive audit of two healthcare construction department facilities. The purpose of the audit was to evaluate facility compliance with applicable Federal, State and local occupational safety and health laws and regulations. The audit focused on the examination of site operations and the identification of practices relating to the following programs: Lockout/Tagout Program, Forklift Operation, Proposition 65,  Machine Guarding,  Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), Life Safety/Emergency Preparedness, Facility Emergency Action/Response, Confined Space Program, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Ergonomics Program, Safety-Related Work Practices, Respiratory Protection Program, Hazardous Substances, General Safety Controls, Accident Reporting, Investigation, and Hearing Conservation. Findings were rank ordered according to severity, with significant findings being the most severe and requiring immediate action. Program Health Indicators (PHIs) were also assigned for each compliance program category. A complete report was prepared summarizing the findings, corrective action measures and cost estimates to implement the corrective actions.
