San Fernando, CA

Performed a dust and metal exposure assessment at a manufacturing facility located in San Fernando, CA. The scope of work included collection of personal breathing zone air samples for particles not otherwise regulated (PNOR) and select metals, depending on the materials used during the sampled operation. Several exposure assessments were conducted over multiple work shifts to determine worker exposures to several different materials and processes at the facility. General working conditions were observed and documented, and work tasks conducted by the monitored employees throughout the sampling period. Analysis included total PNOR and select metals (iron, copper, titanium, molybdenum, magnesium, manganese, calcium, chromium, and zinc) depending on products used during the various mixing processes. A written report was completed after completion of the assessment and included visual observations, assessment methods, air sampling results, professional interpretation of results, conclusions, and recommendations.
