Panacea provided support during a $60M rehabilitation project that included the replacement of flocculation/sedimentation equipment at a wastewater treatment plan located in Southern California. The scope of services included:
- Conducting asbestos and lead surveys and updating previous survey reports, as required.
- Providing asbestos and lead abatement oversight including monitoring environmental and safety regulatory compliance for the abatement work.
- Completing daily field logs, air sampling logs, managing worker documentation and ensuring contractor equipment has appropriate SCAQMD permits.
- Preparation of SCAQMD Rule 1403 Procedure 5 workplans.
- Attending meetings with District personnel and/or SCAQMD.
- Notifications for any non-compliance observed during the removal, handling or disposal of asbestos or lead waste by the contractor.
- Conducting perimeter air monitoring and clearance sampling.
- Performing post-abatement visual inspections and site clearance.
- Preparing asbestos abatement observations close-out reports.
