Panacea provided support during a $60M rehabilitation project that included the replacement of flocculation/sedimentation equipment at a wastewater treatment plan located in Southern California. The scope of services included:

  • Conducting asbestos and lead surveys and updating previous survey reports, as required.
  • Providing asbestos and lead abatement oversight including monitoring environmental and safety regulatory compliance for the abatement work.
  • Completing daily field logs, air sampling logs, managing worker documentation and ensuring contractor equipment has appropriate SCAQMD permits.
  • Preparation of SCAQMD Rule 1403 Procedure 5 workplans.
  • Attending meetings with District personnel and/or SCAQMD.
  • Notifications for any non-compliance observed during the removal, handling or disposal of asbestos or lead waste by the contractor.
  • Conducting perimeter air monitoring and clearance sampling.
  • Performing post-abatement visual inspections and site clearance.
  • Preparing asbestos abatement observations close-out reports.
