Conducted a comprehensive pre-demolition hazardous materials survey at a Medical Center, located in San Jose, California. The survey covered 13 single-story buildings totaling 51,087 square feet, supporting a redevelopment project to replace the aging facility with a modern medical center. The scope of work included:
- Visual Inspection: Assessed interior and exterior building components.
- Sampling & Analysis: Collected and analyzed samples of suspect materials (e.g., caulking, insulation, adhesives, rubber gaskets) to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint (LBP), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
- Hazardous Materials Inventory: Identified and classified universal and regulated hazardous waste in building materials and equipment.
- Reporting: Delivered a detailed, regulatory-compliant report with tabulated data and figures pinpointing ACM, LBP, PCB-containing materials, and other hazardous waste.
- Panacea completed the project on time and within budget, providing critical documentation to support safe and compliant demolition activities.
