  • Mentorship for new field staff and on-the-job evaluations.

Equipment & PPE Management

  • Issuance and maintenance of appropriate PPE for each task & environment.
  • Regular inspections and replacement schedules.
  • Pre-use inspections & maintenance logs for tools, vehicles, and monitoring devices.
  • Lockout/tagout procedures for hazardous equipment.

Incident Management & Reporting

  • Immediate response protocols for injuries, near-misses, and environmental releases.
  • On-site first aid and escalation procedures.
  • Timely reporting of all incidents and near-misses.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

Oversight & Continuous Improvement

  • Cross-functional safety committee responsible for reviewing incidents, trends, and program effectiveness.
  • Monthly meetings and annual program audits.
  • Tracking of leading and lagging indicators (e.g., TRIR, EMR, near-miss frequency, training completion rates).
