Performed an asbestos- containing material and lead- based paint survey of a 51 multi-unit apartment building in Los Angeles, CA. The purpose of these surveys was to determine the presence of asbestos and lead- based paint which may be impacted by the planned kitchen renovation project. A total of 1,224 bulk samples were collected for asbestos analysis. A total of 616 XRF lead detection device readings were taken throughout the kitchen interiors of the representative buildings/units tested. The scope of work also included the development of abatement specifications, review of abatement contractor proposals and contractor selection, abatement monitoring and a closeout document at the conclusion of the project.
