Conducted Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) at an industrial property with two buildings. The scope included:
- Phase I ESA identifying Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs), including historical use as a metals refinery.
- Limited asbestos and lead-based paint screening.
- Property Condition Assessment (PCA), roof evaluation, and seismic risk assessment.
- Phase II ESA and follow-up investigation.
Phase II activities included a geophysical survey to clear boring locations, followed by soil, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling. Ten borings were advanced from our to 30 feet bgs using a direct-push rig and six to 6.5 feet bgs with hand augers and vapor probe installation. Subsequent groundwater investigation involved advancing four additional borings to 40–44 feet below the ground surface. Groundwater samples were collected using a hand bailer, and soil samples were taken from the base of each borehole.
